I've been wanting to post this for a while but forgot it was on my desktop. I thought it was interesting.
Uniqlo was just about the only store I would shop at in China's department stores because they sold stuff I thought I might actually wear back in the States. Everything else usually was too...exotic for my taste.
I'm going to listen to Kaskade's new album now. Sooooooooo happy I got my hands on it!

When did this news come out?
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, indeed. Uniqlo has expanded to a lot of major markets around the world, but not so much in the U.S. There's a branch in SoHo in NYC, but that's all I know of. I'm excited to see more Uniqlo, but at the same time, if it starts popping up everywhere...well, it just won't be as unique. lol.
i saw this on huffpost.
ReplyDeletehaha good point. conversely, GAP's mega marketing campaign in China has basically failed. i think the China market is way different than what they're used to dealing with, so unfortunately for them what works in Western markets doesn't fly there.
