Moving Pains

Moving back to good ol' West Covina at the end of this week. Goodbye Culver City. Goodbye lively LA. You've been good to me. I will definitely miss the hustle and bustle of the city. I hope I'm not doing myself a wrong by trading urban vibrancy for suburban sleepiness. Ooh.

Time to Get my Shit Together

I just realized I've been acting pretty recklessly since school let out...I really haven't gotten as far as I've wanted on reading and writing and work, and I only have myself to blame for it. It's embarrassing to discover that at a time in my life when I am supposed to be getting my act together, I spend an entire Saturday recovering from a hangover...I just hope it won't get to the point where I end up disappointing people who I'm obligated to, both on a professional and personal level.
I really need to get my shit together. Here's to working hard for the next few weeks.

A Blog about Missing Asia

These are so cute.
I saw them everywhere in Taiwan. Too bad I can't get it for myself, but maybe I will give them as a gift to one of the many couples in my life, hehe. That's one of the things I miss about Asia--cute gadgets and things that are hard to find here.

Other things I miss about Asia are bento (just in the case of Japan) and boxed lunches !yum yum!, public transportation, and cheap salon visits. I am not ashamed to admit one of the reasons I look forward to going to China this year is so I can get my hair permanently straightened at 1/10 the price I would pay here.

I'm getting pretty excited. Unfortunately there's a more pressing matter that requires my attention--this final I'm taking in two days that I have to study for right now. SIGH.
