I hand my mom a pear.
Mom: No! This one's too skinny! There's no meat on it.
Me: It looks like the one you have in your hand.
Mom: We are picking FRUITS, daughter, not PARTNERS, ok? Unlike your partners, you want your fruits fat and meaty.
